RETIREMENT SEMINARGateway Retirement Solutions will host a pre and post retirement seminar for members of Local S6 on Wednesday, March 15th and Thursday, April 27th at the Ramada Inn, Lewiston, starting at 6:00 p.m. Topics will include health insurance, 401k, medicare, pension and estate planning. They will also be providing Local S6 with an Estate Planning Attorney, William Smyth, at the Ramada Inn, Lewiston on April 12th at 6:00 p.m. Space is limited so please call (888) 247-8711 and leave your name, phone number, date you wish to attend and the number of guests attending. WOMEN'S COMMITTEEIAM members joined the 'March for Women' on Saturday, January 21, 2017. Over 500,000 people joined together in one of the largest showing of solidarity in the nation's capital. The demonstration was to remind the new administration the importance of upholding the laws that govern the rights of women across America; such as civil and human rights and equality in the workforce. Union women at BIW have resources in place that protect and defend those rights. If you feel you have been threatened, harassed or discriminated against, please contact your shop steward or call the Union Hall and ask for Human Rights, 443-5566 or x2063.
